| Our own mold design in thinking of Elastic
Deformation Forging, so called "EDF"
process can provide a hobbed symmetrical
crowned shape on the tooth flank of helical
gears. |
| This advanced EDF molds lead
to the way of mass production of cold forged
crowned helical gears in high precision. |
| By the control of contact pressure
to the blank materials, it can be possible
for the helical gears to be distributed the
inner stress homogeneously capable to be
the silent gears with minimized distortion after
heat treatment. |
|
A specific case hardening technology
matching with the cold forged gears
can improve
the fatigue strength and the initial
pitting
resistance. |
| On "EDF" process in detail Conventional cold forging process obtaining a high gear class have been based on such that the forging pressure is propagated into the gear tooth only in axial direction . Today CREATECH is adopting such process that the forging pressure is controlled to propagate the inside of gear tooth in the possible stress lebel of the plastic working. At the same time the pressure differences fully used are propagated in radial direction into the gear. Thus we use the elasto-plasticity of steel effectively. |
